It's time for mount tune-ups!!


iOptron now offers mount tune-up services!

Everything, labor and parts, related to repairing to bring mount to good working condition is covered under warranty. Maintenance and upgrade are not part of warranty, such as cleaning and regrease gears, PE measurement (with printed PE curve), electronic and mechanical boards/parts upgrade. Damage by accident or misuse are excluded from warranty. Some services should be along the line of maintenance, but we provide service free of charge per customer request, such as firmware upgrade, polar scope collimation, gear adjustment for better performance.

Tune up service includes gear/worm cleaning, regrease with Super Lube, gear meshing adjustment, bearing inspection, bearing caps (on axle and on worm) adjustment/optimization, belt inspection/adjustment, polar scope/iPolar alignment/calibration, guiding emulation, encoder (if applicable) cleaning and calibration, PE measurement, and all check points accordance with manufacturing line. Parts are extra unless under warranty.

A tune up service can restate the option of adding extended warranty within 30 days of the tune up service.
